Autumn

So i'm starting university in october, which is only in 2 months... and when I think about it like that, its not that far away untill my whole life changes! Hopefully for the best. So naturally I've been worrying about what im going to wear! Because meeting new people... first impressions and stuff, scary lol! So I've been looking through my stored collection of runway images from February to get some inspiration of what stuff i'm going to be buying before I leave for uni...
its a bit difficult considering all the highstreet shops are still going mad about summer and spring lol.
Colours to look out for:
  • Greys
  • Black
  • Nude/Cream
  • Gold
Pretty simple really, but thats how I like it lol... so here are some of my favorite outfits from fashion week in February to inspire me lol...
Photobucket
chanel, alexander wang, zac posen
Photobucket
alexander wang, nina ricci, alexander mcqueen
Also ill be looking out for
  • Fringe
  • Silk
  • Simple/casual high waisted skirts
  • Light grey tights
  • Maybe a white blazer
  • Pleats
  • Graphic tees
  • Blouses
So heres my wishlist so far...

Well thats not exactly what i'm going to buy but on that level...
So has everyone else started thinking about there autumn wardrobe?

I was exactly the same way last year when I started. I was freaking out. I went looking for inspiration from the runway to blogs. This year I still feel a little anxious but it should be easier than before

don't stress out about starting college (or i guess its university in england!) just have fun playing around with new things. i remember the one thing i learn is to stock up on flats and comfy heels. it was killer to walk around campus all day in the heels i had! but i'm sure you'll do fine, just don't lose your focus! my autumn inspiration is 'back to the basics' :P i need to find a wardrobe that is between professional artsy person and young fun loving teen.

ive been thinking about what to wear in uni too! i know i wont be able to wear nice heels that often, and i feel the same about the whole first impressions thing.

I know how you feel. I felt the same way about starting college last year. I'm about to start my second year and I still feel like that.

Your list of things to look for is pretty similar to mine. I've also thought about getting a black motorcycle jacket and maybe adding a little more color.

I like these! Starting at a new school (or university) and getting a whole new set of friends certainly is intimidating! I'm certain you will do well.

I have actually, and I'm well in the mood for ankleboots. I have a pair, but they're a bit higher up than I'd like them to be, plus they have lacing and are about two years old (I've worn them excessively, even this summer!). I want a pair of cute, small, black/ dark red ones paired with grey wool skirts and military coats and why not go crazy and pair them with red leggings (Blair on Gossip Girl anyone?)...can't wait!

Oh, I forgot to say:

Good luck at Univeristy! I'm in the middle fo my application process (Swedish schools end a year later than what seems like the rest of the world) and I'm already excited!

I know you'll do well there, and don't be nervous. You're there with people who are, prectically, the same as you but vey, very different.

Have loads of fun (but not too much...don't fornicate frantically or anyhting...:P)!!

Great inspiration choices!

I too have found fall-type items creeping onto my Kaboodle wish list. Things like blazers, cardigans and booties! I love summer, but I'm getting really excited for fall clothes!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh what an exciting time!!! I'm thinking that you can't go wrong w/ grey black and gold. I don't know about nude. I've always had this love/hate relationship with it.

At least you still have some time to plan all your outfits and get all the clothes you need and what not. I'm starting university on late August, and I am scaarrreeed! Besides, it will still be hot, which always seems to limit my creativity, but, hopefully, I'll come up with something awesome! :D

I'm so excited for you! I remember how it felt when I was starting college. And now, almost four years later, I'm all done. So, enjoy it, and take advantage of every second of it.

Now, onto more pressing issues: I must have that BatGirl shirt. Where is it from???

I love that Alexander Wang outfit!

good post! i am so lusting after a winter wardrobe at the moment it's unreal! it is too hot (ish) to wear big jumpers and to properly layer, but at the same time it is raining nd not at all sunny! RUBBISH! hope you're having fun in Sicily (as if there's any way you're not!). i know what you mean about first impressions at uni, but trust me, you meet so many people all the first impressions kind of haze in to each other. you'll be fine anyway, you are very stylish!

Lovely selection!
I think Alexander Wang is really stepping it up. I sure love a lady in his clothes.
